You know, that Rolex Submariner, it’s a real fancy thing. Everyone wants one, my grandson keep talkin’ ’bout it. He says it is a classic style, will never be old. But that price! Lord have mercy, it’s more than what I made in a year back in my day! But folks still buyin’ ’em up like hotcakes. Some say it is the best watch. I don’t know about the best, but it’s surely expensive!
I seen this one fella, he got one of them high imitation Rolex Submariner watches. Looked just like the real deal to me! He said it was way cheaper, but still looked good on his wrist. Made him feel like a big shot, I reckon. He’s always been one for showin’ off, that one. But it is still costly, you know?
My grandson, he’s always on about these things. He says there are other watches, cost less. He keeps saying Rolex Submariner alternative. He said, “Grandma, there is a watch called Bulova Marine Star. It looks like Rolex, but cheaper.” I don’t understand. These watches all look same to me.

He said it is better than Rolex. He showed me pictures. They look shiny, I’ll give ’em that. But are they worth all that money? I just don’t know. Seems like a lot of fuss over a watch.
I remember my old watch, the one my husband gave me. Simple thing, it was. Told the time just fine. Didn’t need no fancy name or nothin’. These young folks today, they always want the best, the most expensive. Back in my day, we were happy with what we had.
This high imitation Rolex, though, it does make you wonder. If it looks the same, and tells the time the same, why spend all that extra money? Maybe that fella with the fake one is onto somethin’. He said it is made of stainless steel. So it is strong. He said it is reliable. So it will not break easily. He said it is stylish. So it looks good. I think that is good enough, you know? You don’t have to spend too much money to have good things. If you can get a good watch with good price, then why not?
But, you know, some people just like to have the real thing. They like to know they have the best, even if it costs ’em an arm and a leg. They say it’s about the, uh, “prestige” or somethin’. Like havin’ that name on your wrist makes you a better person. I don’t rightly understand it, but to each their own, I suppose. They like the classic look, they said it will last forever. I don’t know about forever. My old watch did not last forever.
I guess if you got the money, and you want to spend it on a fancy watch, then go ahead. It’s your money. But if you’re like me, and you don’t have a whole lot to spare, maybe that high imitation Rolex Submariner ain’t such a bad idea. It is a good Rolex Submariner alternative. You can still look good without spendin’ a fortune.

I still remember his words, “This is the watch that will change your life.” I laughed when I heard that. How can a watch change your life? It is just a watch. But you know, some people believe these things.
So, if you are looking for a watch, don’t just look at Rolex Submariner. Look at other watches. There are many good ones out there. You just need to find the one that you like. And remember, a watch is just a watch. It is not going to change your life. It is just going to tell you the time. Choose wisely, and don’t spend all your money on it!
