Well, let me tell you, I heard about this here watch, they call it a Remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 6007G-011. Sounds fancy, don’t it? This ain’t your regular five-and-dime ticker, no sir. They say it’s the real deal, some “original order” thing. I don’t know all the ins and outs, but I hear folks talkin’. This Patek Philippe Calatrava, they say it’s somethin’ special.
Now, I seen a lot of watches in my day. My old man, he had a pocket watch, kept it on a chain. This Calatrava, it’s a whole different animal. They say it came out back in 2020. That’s not too long ago, but long enough for folks to get all worked up about it. And it’s a limited edition, you hear? That means they ain’t makin’ a whole bunch of ’em. Makes it worth more, I reckon.
These fancy watches, they ain’t cheap. You gotta have some serious dough to get your hands on one of these. I heard it costs more than my whole house! Is a Patek Philippe Calatrava worth it? I guess. But it is a whole lot of money for somethin’ you just wear on your wrist. If you got the money, I guess it’s up to you. But me? I’d rather put that money towards somethin’ more useful, like a new roof or somethin’.
They say these Patek Philippe things, some of ’em, they’re good for savin’ your money. Like puttin’ it in a piggy bank, but fancier. They say these ones, the Nautilus and the Aquanaut and this Calatrava, and some other one called “Grand Complications” – sounds like a headache to me – they hold their value. Some even go up in price! Can you believe it?

These two, they say they’re real popular. I don’t know why, they all look the same to me. But people want ’em, and they’re willin’ to pay good money for ’em. More than I’d ever pay, that’s for sure. I’d rather have a good tractor, to be honest.
And get this, you can’t just walk into a store and buy one of these Calatrava watches. Oh no, there’s a waitin’ list. You gotta put your name down and wait. They say it can take 9 months, maybe even a whole year! Imagine waitin’ that long for somethin’ you paid a fortune for. I’d be climbin’ the walls!
Back in my day, you wanted somethin’, you went to the store and you bought it. None of this waitin’ list nonsense. But I guess things are different now. These young folks, they got all these fancy gadgets and gizmos. They probably wouldn’t know what to do with a good old-fashioned wind-up watch. This Remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 6007G-011 is like that. I think.
They made a whole bunch of these Calatrava watches over the years. Dozens, I hear. And some of them, they’re worth a pretty penny. People collect ’em, like stamps or coins. I used to collect salt and pepper shakers myself. Had a whole shelf full of ’em. But these watches, they’re a whole different level of collectin’.

I reckon if you’re into that sort of thing, and you got the money to burn, then go for it. But for me, I’ll just keep on tickin’ along with my old watch. It may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. And that’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? A watch is a watch, no matter how much it costs. At least, that’s what this old lady thinks. The Patek Philippe PP Calatrava is good, but not for me.
