That Rolex, you know, that shiny watch, they got a new one, they say it’s “High imitation Rolex Two-tone Black Submariner.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just a copy, some say it’s from their “Official flagship store”, I don’t know. I seen a lot of folks wearing them. They all look the same to me. But this one, they say it’s special. Two colors, they say. Black and somethin’ else. I guess that’s what makes it different.
My neighbor, she got one. Showed it off like it was a big diamond. Said she got it from some store, not a real Rolex store, but one that sells these, you know, “High imitation” ones. She paid a lot, she said. But not as much as a real one, I guess.
High imitation Rolex, that’s what she kept calling it. This Two-tone Black Submariner, it looks like the real thing, she said. But I don’t know nothin’ about these things. Watches is watches to me. They tell time, that’s all that matters.
But she was going on and on about the hands, the little lines on the face, all that stuff. Said the real ones, the minute hand, it’s short. Doesn’t go over those little lines, the minute markers, she called them. The fake ones, she said, the hand is longer. I couldn’t tell the difference, myself.
She said there’s lots of ways to tell if it’s real or not. This guide she read, it told her all about it. But it’s all too much for me. I just nod my head and pretend I understand.
Now, if you’re lookin’ for a Rolex Submariner, and you don’t want to pay a fortune, there are other kinds. My neighbor, she said this Tudor Royal is a good one, not as much money. They are like sisters to Rolex. I don’t know what that means, but she seemed to know about it. It has day and date. She said it’s good. I don’t know, seems like a lot of money, still.
Some folks, they go to Turkey, I hear. Istanbul, they call it. They say that’s where you get these real good fakes. So good, even the people who make watches can’t tell the difference. They call them “super clones.” Sounds like somethin’ out of a movie, don’t it?
These High imitation Rolex, they call them “replica” or “imitation” sometimes. They look just like the real thing. Even the little squiggly lines, the logo, they call it, and the face, the dial. All the same, they say.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ one of these Two-tone Black Submariner, just be careful. Do your homework, like they say. Don’t go spendin’ all your money on somethin’ that ain’t real, unless you want to. If you just want somethin’ that looks like a Rolex, well, that’s your business, I guess.
But me, I’ll stick to my old watch. It tells time just fine. Don’t need no fancy High imitation Rolex to do that.

One fella, he was saying he got his in Istanbul. Said it was a “super clone,” whatever that means. Said it looked so much like the real Rolex Submariner, you couldn’t tell the difference. Even the insides, he said, all the little wheels and things. He seemed to know a lot about it.

So, if you’re thinking about getting one of these Two-tone Black Submariner, just be careful. That’s all I’m saying. It’s your money, do what you want with it. But don’t come crying to me if you get fooled.
