This here watch, they call it the OMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope, it’s a real fancy thing. Looks like them watches them astronaut folks wear. Cost a pretty penny, too, I reckon. But it sure is somethin’ to look at.
Speedmaster Chronoscope Classic Style
This here OMEGA Speedmaster, they say it’s a classic style. Well, it’s got all them little dials and numbers on it. Hard to tell what they all mean, but it sure looks important. Like you’re gonna time somethin’ real special. Maybe how long it takes to bake a pie or how long that ol’ rooster crows in the mornin’.
They say it’s got a “tachymeter bezel“. Now, I don’t know what in tarnation that means, but it sounds fancy. It’s that ring around the outside, with all them numbers. Looks like somethin’ you’d see on a spaceship, I reckon. Or maybe one of them race cars.
This one here, it’s 43mm. That’s what they said. Bigger than my thumb, that’s for sure. It’s made of steel, shiny like a new dime. And you can get it with different faces. This OMEGA Speedmaster, one’s silver, one’s blue, and one’s silver and black. They call that last one the “Panda” one.
- Silver face, looks all clean and bright.
- Blue one, like a summer sky.
- That Panda one, it’s kinda like a checkerboard.
I kinda like that Panda one, myself.
It’s got this sapphire crystal on it. Now, that’s somethin’ special. Tough, they say. Won’t scratch easy. Like tryin’ to scratch a rock with your fingernail. Ain’t gonna happen. And it’s all curved up like a little bubble. Makes the watch look even fancier, I reckon.
OMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope and Astronaut
You know what they say about this here OMEGA Speedmaster? They say the astronauts wore it to the moon! Can you believe that? This here watch, right here, went all the way to the moon! They call it the “Moonwatch.” Now that’s somethin’ special, ain’t it? They say NASA and this OMEGA company, they work together. Big fancy deal.
This Speedmaster thing, they started makin’ it way back in 1957. Long time ago. But it didn’t go to space ’til 1965. That’s when NASA said it was good enough for them astronaut boys. And they say it went on every one of them moon trips. Six of ’em, they say. Six times to the moon and back.
And you know what else they say? They say this Speedmaster, it’s real popular. Lots of folks want one. They say it’s like the father of them fancy stopwatches. They call ’em “chronographs.” See, I’m learnin’ somethin’ new every day! And it’s been lookin’ mostly the same since way back when. That’s what they call “timeless.” It doesn’t get old, like me.
Speedmaster Chronoscope is Good
This OMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope, well it’s a good watch. They say you can wear this watch with anything. Wear it to the feed store, wear it to church, wear it to a weddin’. This OMEGA Speedmaster. It’s just that kind of watch.
They say it’s a workin’ man’s watch. Even though it costs more than a used pickup truck. But hey, if you got the money, and you want somethin’ that’s gonna last, somethin’ that’s got a story to tell, then this here OMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope might just be the watch for you.
This is the watch to get. If you want that classic style, that astronaut look, this is the one. It is a good watch.
