Okay, so, I finally did it. I got myself a watch. Not just any watch, mind you. This here is a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. Yeah, the one they call the “Moonwatch.” Sounds fancy, right? It is pretty fancy, I gotta say.
I’ve been thinking about getting a nice watch for a while now. Something that looks good, feels good, you know? Something that’s got a bit of history behind it. I started looking around, reading stuff online, checking out different brands and models. It was a whole thing. There are so many watches out there, it’s kind of crazy.
Then I stumbled on this OMEGA Speedmaster. And I read that it was the first watch on the moon. I mean, come on, how cool is that? So, I started digging deeper into this specific watch. I learned about the different versions. There’s the one with the Hesalite crystal, which is like this plastic stuff, and then there’s the one with the sapphire crystal, which they say is tougher.
I went back and forth on which one to get. The Hesalite one is more like the original, the one that actually went to the moon. But the sapphire one, it just seemed a bit more, I don’t know, premium? Plus, it’s got this clear back so you can see all the little gears and stuff moving around inside. That’s pretty neat. The solid caseback also feels a bit old to me.
Anyway, after all that, I decided to go for the CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the sapphire crystal. It’s the one that feels right to me. It’s got the history, the look, and it just feels good on my wrist. Plus, I wanted to get it from the official flagship store. I figured, if I’m gonna spend this kind of money, I might as well do it right.
So, I went down to the store, tried it on, and that was it. I was sold. They sized it for me, boxed it up all nice, and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks. It was not cheap, but I really love it.
The watch is not too big, not too small. I read online that it’s 42mm, but the bezel is actually a bit smaller, like 39.7mm or something. It’s comfortable, and I can see myself wearing this every day, for a long time. Some people talk about how these watches can be a good investment, that they might be worth more money someday. I don’t know about all that. I just wanted a nice watch, and this one is it. The community is also great for this watch.
