This year, my son, he said, “Ma, you need to buy a good watch, a Rolex.” I say, what’s a Rolex? He said it’s a really good watch, everybody wants one. So, I said, okay, I’ll get one. But, oh boy, it ain’t easy.

Maybe I’ll talk to my son again. See what he really thinks. Maybe he won’t mind a high imitation Rolex. Or maybe he’ll say, “Ma, you gotta get the real one, no matter what.” We’ll see.
This whole Rolex thing, it’s a lot more complicated than I thought. A watch is a watch, I always said. But these days, it’s a whole different story. These young people, they like their fancy things. But me? If it tells the time, it’s good enough, right? But, a Rolex Black Submariner Purchasing, even if it’s a high imitation one, might be what I need to do to make my boy happy.
