Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime watch for a while now. It’s a beauty, no doubt. And that Calibre 1932 movement? Man, that thing’s a beast, most complex the folks at OMEGA have ever put out. A real first. So, the journey began.
First thing, I did what everyone does, go online, start hunting. Typed in OMEGA Speedmaster, a few clicks and boom, there it was. All different sellers. One even got this circular saw thingy, a Milwaukee M Lithium-Ion Brushless thing. I don’t know what that is, but okay. It is not what I was looking for, but yeah, some seller got that stuff in there, too. It was funny.
Then, I saw another site talking about some CZ 512 semi-auto rifle. Another weird find. Seemed like a guide or something. Look, I am not into guns, but I can tell there is a place online where they talk about buying them. Again, I just skipped past all that stuff. Not my cup of tea, honestly.
Moving on, I stumbled upon some Thermo King dealer page. Looked like they were selling parts, authorized dealer, the whole nine yards. I just want my watch. Not interested, I just moved on.
Then it got even weirder. LEGO. Yeah, LEGO sets, like for kids. This one was called “Lightning Dragon Battle.” Not sure how that ended up in my search, but it did. I guess people buy and sell those things, too. Another thing I don’t need, another thing I just scrolled on past.
Finally, I found a page specifically talking about the OMEGA Seamaster. Closer, but not quite the Chrono Chime. This one was a Beijing 2022 edition. Fancy, but not what I was after. But hey, they had all this financial stuff on it, market value, best prices, that kind of thing. I guess it is also an investment.
Another site was talking about this P239 SAS Gen 2 pistol. Melt treatment, SRT Trigger System, SIGLITE Night Sights, whatever all that means. Clearly, I was in the wrong place again. Just kept on searching.
Then I found something about an XM3A-2521, which is some kind of D-Sub plug. Man, I don’t even know what that is. But it looked techy. So I moved on.
I also saw some mentions about graphics cards for computers, GPUs, and hardware. Getting closer to things I am interested in, but no, I am here for the watch.
Finally, I got it right! Found a solid dealer, checked their rep, all good. They had the Speedmaster Chrono Chime in stock. Bingo! I started to talk to them, asked all the usual stuff, you know, making sure it’s legit and everything.

- Confirmed the warranty.
- Asked about shipping.
They were cool, answered all my questions. Felt good about it, so I pulled the trigger. Made the purchase. Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. Can’t wait to strap that beauty on my wrist. It’s been a journey, a wild one through all sorts of stuff online, but totally worth it in the end.
