Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch for a while now. It’s not just any watch, you know? This one’s special. I finally decided to go for it and let me tell you, it was quite the process.
First, I started doing some digging online, you know, just to make sure I knew what I was getting into. This watch isn’t a limited edition, technically, but everyone wants it. I found out that this 50th Anniversary version is way different from the previous Snoopy watches. They made a bunch of the first one, like 5441, and a bit less of second model, like 1970 of them. This one’s not limited in number, but it’s still hard to get.
Then, I got obsessed. I watched all these videos online. “Snoopy’s back and he’s on a mission!” one video shouted, all dramatic and stuff. I learned that this watch celebrates 50 years since OMEGA got the Silver Snoopy Award from NASA. Apparently, OMEGA’s been to the moon, like, six times!
I started calling around, checking with different authorized dealers. Some of them had waiting lists, some didn’t even know when they’d get more. I finally found one store that said they might get one, but no promises.
Here’s the best part: I decided to just go for it. I went to the store, even though they weren’t sure they had it. I talked to this nice lady there, told her how much I wanted it. We chatted about watches for a while, and then she went to the back. Came back with a box and there it was! Shiny and new.

I tried it on, and man, it felt good. The blue strap is soft, and the silver case, which is 42mm, is just the right size. It’s got this cool picture of Snoopy on the back, and when you use the chronograph, he actually goes around the moon! How cool is that?
So, yeah, I bought it. It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it. This isn’t just a watch, it’s a piece of history. And it’s got Snoopy on it! It’s like a little reminder to stay curious and explore, just like Snoopy on his mission to the moon.
Now, I wear it almost every day. It’s a great conversation starter, and it just makes me happy. It’s a reminder of that whole adventure of getting it, and a little piece of space history on my wrist.

Finally, I got this amazing watch. It was a bit of a treasure hunt, but I’m so glad I didn’t give up. It’s definitely my favorite watch now, and I think I’ll be wearing it for many years to come.
