So, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Rolex GMT-Master II for a while now, specifically the one with the “Root Beer” bezel. You know, the one that’s all brown and black and looks kind of like, well, root beer? It’s a classic, but it is discontinued by Rolex. But man, the prices on the real deal are insane. So, I thought, why not try a high imitation one? I know that some friends don’t feel good about replicas. But I think as long as I know what I’m getting into, it’s all good.
First, I started digging around online. I mean, I hit up all the usual spots, forums, and some not-so-usual spots too. Then I spent hours comparing pictures, you know, looking at the tiny details like the text on the dial, the shape of the hands, and of course, the colors of that Root Beer bezel. After a while, I narrowed it down to a few sellers that seemed to have a good reputation. They had pictures and videos and everything, which made me feel a bit better. Finally, the day came when the package arrived. I ripped that thing open like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, there it was, the Rolex GMT-Master II Root Beer high imitation. It looked pretty good, I gotta say. Shiny and hefty, just like the real thing.

First Impressions:
I put it on my wrist, and it felt great. The bracelet was decent, although I’ve felt better ones, even on other imitation watches. I started playing around with it, setting the time and the GMT hand. Everything seemed to be working fine. The bezel had that nice clicky feel when you rotated it, and the colors looked spot on.
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s definitely scratching that itch for a Root Beer Rolex. Plus, I didn’t have to spend a fortune to get it. Of course, it’s not the real deal, but for the price, I think it’s a pretty solid high imitation. It’s a conversation starter, for sure. I’ve already had a few people ask me about it. I just tell them it’s a great watch, and I love the Root Beer look. You know, keeping it simple.
