Alright, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one of these OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime watches for a while now. You know, the ones that are supposed to be super good and all that. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get a copy of the original order, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First off, I started digging around to learn more about these watches. I mean, they’re called “Moonwatches” and all, so I figured they must be pretty special, right? Turns out, these things have a whole history behind them. They were worn in space and all that jazz. It’s all pretty cool if you ask me. I started looking for the reference number inside the case back, the eight digit serial number, I did my best to make sure I was on the right page.
So, I went searching for where I could get one of these copy versions. I wasn’t about to drop a fortune on the real deal, but I still wanted something that looked the part and worked well. After checking out a few different places, I found a store that had a sale on these Speedmaster Chrono Chime watches. They were offering a full warranty and everything, so I thought, “Why not?”
I ended up ordering the classic 45.5 mm numbered edition. It’s got this 18K Sedna Gold case that’s inspired by the second-generation Speedmaster, the CK 2998. I guess that’s the first watch worn in space, so that’s something. The dial is pretty cool too, looks pretty similar to the original. It’s a great looking watch. It’s just like the real one but just not real gold. A great knockoff. It’s a pretty big watch, but it’s not too heavy or anything. It just feels solid, you know?
When the watch finally arrived, I was pretty excited to see it in person. I gotta say, it looks even better than the pictures. I put it on my wrist, and it felt great. The quality seems pretty good too, especially for a copy. I mean, I’m no watch expert or anything, but it feels like it’s well-made. The details are all there, and it just looks really nice.
- First thing I did was check the time-keeping. It seems to be keeping time just fine, which is obviously the most important thing. I mean, who wants a watch that doesn’t tell time?
- Next up, I tried out the chrono function. That’s the stopwatch part, for those who don’t know. It works like a charm. I timed a few things around the house, just for fun, and it was spot on.
- The date function is also working perfectly. It’s easy to set, and it changes over at midnight like it’s supposed to.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. It’s a good-looking watch that seems to work well, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Plus, it’s got that whole “Moonwatch” thing going for it, which is pretty cool. If you’re looking for a watch that’s got some history behind it, looks good, and won’t break the bank, I’d say this copy of the OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime is worth checking out. It’s a solid watch that does what it’s supposed to do, and it looks pretty darn good doing it.
I’m planning on wearing this watch every day, so we’ll see how it holds up over time. But so far, so good. I’ll keep you guys updated if anything changes.
