Alright, so, I’ve been wanting a decent watch for a while, you know, something that looks cool but doesn’t cost a fortune. I’d heard about these, uh, “tribute” watches – basically, copies of the famous ones. I was poking around online, trying to find a good copy of that Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. You know, the one that went to the moon?
Well, finding one wasn’t easy. Some folks online were saying you can find anything, but it took me some time to track these down. Finally, I came across this one place. They had a bunch of these copy watches, and I spotted this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster that looked pretty darn close to the real deal.
I decided to go for it. It was a bit of a gamble, but hey, it wasn’t like I was spending thousands. I placed my order, and the waiting game began. A couple of weeks later, a package showed up at my door. I ripped it open, and there it was – my very own fake Moonwatch!
Here’s the thing about this watch:
- It looks legit. Seriously, side by side, you’d have a hard time telling it’s not the real thing. It’s got that classic look, the black dial, the little dials inside – the whole shebang.
- It’s big. We’re talking 44mm across. It definitely has some presence on your wrist. Feels solid, you know?
- See-through back! This is the coolest part. You can flip it over and see all the little gears and stuff moving around inside. I think the original one I saw has some sort of Calibre Omega 8806 thing, and this one tries to mimic that. I don’t know how the movement compares to the real deal, but it’s cool to see it all.
So, I’ve been wearing this thing for a few days now, and honestly, I’m digging it. I wear it at the office, I wear it going out – it works with just about anything. I don’t know how long it will hold up, but it feels pretty well-made. I keep checking the time like a little kid, and it’s always accurate so far. I even spent 35 bucks once just to see another version that I ordered online, but this one’s way better.
Is it the same as a real Omega? Of course not. But for the price, it’s a pretty sweet watch. I’m not trying to fool anyone, I just wanted a cool-looking watch that wouldn’t break the bank. And for that, this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster does the job just fine. It’s a good way to get that classic Moonwatch style without, you know, actually going to the moon to get one.
